Competences

I am an electronic hardware, embedded software and software research engineer. I have an extensive experience of industry and academic research for a total of more than 10 years, I understand both cultures, their processes and expectations. I worked in various domains ranging from aeronautics to neuroscience research and have an extensive experience building novel and innovative devices or software for supporting basic or industrial research. Along my career I have gathered various competences, whether technical, organizational or linked to an operational domain. Some are summarized below but for an extensive list you can check my CV or Linkedin profile.

Organizational:

  • Full product development capability from the system and architecture design to production and installation.
  • Technical project management.
  • Contractors management.
  • Processes enhancement.

Technical:

  • Real-time data acquisition, real-time process or experimental setup control.
  • Electronic hardware: analog and digital electronics, radio and antennas, sensors interfacing, microcontrollers, FPGAs, motor control, SPI, I²C, RS232, USB, Bluetooth, etc.
  • Circuit boards design, in-house PTH and SMD assembly.
  • Embedded software: assembly, C, real-time on various microcontrollers including Microchip PIC or STM32 ARM.
  • Software: Labview, C, real-time programming, etc.
  • Machine vision.

Others:

  • Optogenetics hardware (optical benches and miniature wireless stimulation devices design), 2 photons microscopy, custom behavioral control systems design, etc.
  • Life sciences, neuroscience, behavioral sciences, human factors, aeronautics, etc.

As for the competences I don’t have (eg for mechanical fabrication) I partner with trustable external experts so as to propose a fully integrated offer.

All these technologies sound like an unknown language to you? No problem, I’m used to discuss your application at the research paradigm level. Then, I can propose the best option for your project and work-out a technical architecture so that your technical, cost and delay requirements are met.
